If you talk about a target in the pickup-community, you mean a specific woman that you want to seduce. It's a kind of secret language that you can use to quickly communicate with your Wing. If he helps you out in a set of girls, he needs to know in which girl you are interested so he does not mess up your Gameplan. The most common tactic is to give your attention to the whole group to befriend to prevent cockblocking. You should tease the target and give her a little less attention, cause mostly she is the prettiest one and therefore used to get the most attention. After you have built some attraction and trust, you should try to isolate your target for better escalation.

Example

At a table of four women you like the one in the green jacket. You quietly tell your friend: "Green jacket." He now knows whom to leave to you and keeps the others entertained, while you greet the whole group first and talk to her last, with a light tease.

How to handle a target

  • Choose someone you are really curious about, not only the one who looks like the group's centre.
  • Tell your wing in a word or two, out of her hearing.
  • Be friendly to everyone in the group. Her friends will decide how she sees you.
  • Watch for signs of interest before you invite her to talk privately.

Common mistakes

"Target" is only shorthand. She is a person with her own wishes, and she may be bored, taken or simply not into you. If you see signs of disinterest, thank the group and move on. Ignoring the others to focus on her too early is the classic error.
