Dan Bacon (The Modern Man)

Dan Bacon is a dating and relationship coach who teaches men how to attract women, get a girlfriend and keep a relationship going. According to the company, The Modern Man began in 2005 with the release of his ebook “The Flow”, a system for starting conversations with women and steering them toward a number, a date or more.

Background

By his own account he started coaching after a serious relationship ended in a way he blamed partly on his own insecurity and neediness. As the business grew, readers asked for advice on relationships and on winning back an ex, which led to the programme “Make Her Love You For Life”. The Flow is also available as an audiobook.

Master Attraction

His current main brand is Master Attraction: monthly video lessons built around 124 “attractive traits”, a members’ community and phone coaching. In February 2025 he added Dan Bacon AI, a chatbot trained on his material that gives feedback on text conversations and dating situations. A January 2026 press release put his YouTube channel at more than 473,000 subscribers and marked 20 years of coaching.

Reception

Many articles about him are paid press releases or interviews published by his own companies. The same releases mention that an article he wrote on approaching women who wear headphones drew criticism as encouraging unwanted advances, which his side disputes.
