Evan Marc Katz
Los Angeles-based dating coach for women and author of 'I Can't Believe I'm Buying This Book' (2004) and 'Why You're Still Single' (2006). He earlier founded the online profile-writing service E-Cyrano and now teaches through his blog, podcast and the video course Love U.
Evan Marc Katz started his career in customer care at the dating site JDate, where he wrote his first book, a guide to internet dating. He then founded E-Cyrano, a service that wrote online dating profiles for singles, and moved on to coaching. He lives in Los Angeles.
Approach
Katz coaches smart, successful women who want a lasting relationship, and he writes from a man’s point of view about what men want and how they behave. He often asks women to examine their own expectations and habits, and not to rely on chemistry alone when choosing a partner.
Books and programs
I Can’t Believe I’m Buying This Book: A Commonsense Guide to Successful Internet Dating (Ten Speed Press, 2004) was his first book. Why You’re Still Single (Plume, 2006), subtitled “Things Your Friends Would Tell You If You Promised Not to Get Mad”, followed; he has described it as a response to the bestseller He’s Just Not That Into You. Later books include Believe in Love. His coaching program Love U is a six-month video course for women, and he also writes a long-running blog and hosts a podcast.
