Marni Kinrys is a Canadian-born relationship coach and the founder of The Wing Girl Method. She was educated at the University of Western Ontario, where she studied psychology, and describes herself as a self-taught adviser who ended up in the role of wing girl while watching her male friends fail at picking up women.
Background
Early on she worked as a paid wing girl, a woman who goes out with a man to introduce him and vouch for him. A press profile from around 2010 mentions her alongside IcebreakerDating.com, a start-up offering this service by the hour. She later turned the idea into a coaching company with 6-week and 12-week programmes in which clients receive regular check-ins from coaches.
Work
Kinrys teaches men how to flirt, read women’s signals and move from conversation to a date. Her flirting programme The F Formula is listed on Goodreads as an ebook. In 2013 she co-created The Ask Women Podcast with the comedians Kristen Carney, Danielle Stewart and Haely White.
Media and reception
She has been quoted by outlets such as CNN, the Los Angeles Times and Men’s Health and was given a best-female-pickup-artist award at an industry event, according to a podcast biography. Customer reviews of her company are mixed.
