Hey guys, would you ever get a Tattoo?

Here’s the deal… my nineteen-year-old sister wants to get her boyfriends name tattooed on her shoulder.

(no, no don’t let her do it)

See that’s the problem she’s really strong headed and when I tell her not to get the tattoo it just makes her want to get it even more. How do I deal with that and let her really know its mistake?

When to use it

Use it in a café, bar or at a party with a woman or small group in a relaxed mood. Keep it short and do not add more details than you need. The sister story is a pretext, so be ready to laugh about it when you move on.

Follow-up

Listen to her advice and ask something personal: "Do you have any tattoos? What's the story?" Agree with something she says, then close the story: "Okay, I'll tell her to wait a year. By the way, I'm Sam." Do not keep up the story for more than a few minutes.

Why it works

Asking for advice flatters people, because everybody likes being the expert, and she does not need to be interested in you to answer. Tattoos, first love and regrets are personal but safe topics, so the talk gets to real opinions quickly. Once she shares a story of her own, you have reached the hook point.
