Entourage

Entourage ran on HBO from 2004 to 2011. Rising movie star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) brings his friends from Queens to Hollywood: his manager Eric, his driver Turtle and his half-brother Johnny Drama, a struggling actor. Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven), Vince’s furious agent, steals almost every scene.

The lifestyle

Parties, premieres, beautiful women and loyal friends: Entourage is pure lifestyle fantasy. What makes it interesting for pickup is how Vince attracts women. He rarely tries hard. He is relaxed, enjoys his life and has a group around him that makes everything fun.

What you can learn

• Social proof is real. A man surrounded by friends who like him looks more attractive than a man alone.
• Abundance shows. Vince never chases; he simply enjoys the moment.
• Your friends matter. Loyalty in the group is the true heart of the show.

Verdict

Shallow at times, but fun, fast and full of guy humour. Watch it for the friendships and for Ari Gold.
